Lately, I have really been trying to gauge what my decorating style truly is & honestly, I still cannot pinpoint an exact style…lol.  I think it definitely has something to do with A) I’m only 22 & haven’t had that much experience with decorating and B) We moved 3 times within the span of 1 year, which called for re-decorating and starting over! With this ‘re-decorating’ I kind of began to really think about what my decorating style is.

The more I thought into it the more I became unsure – for awhile I was in love with the ‘farmhouse’ style, which for a period of time I was very obsessed with! But now I have started to really gravitate towards a different look – I’m really loving the neutral cozy cottage/french country feel with a pinch of farmhouse ;).

I really love woods & whites & neutrals with just a little bit of vintage glamor, like an old chandelier or a textured ceiling tile.  I think it’s so beautiful when a little bit of old is mixed with just the right amount of new.  It’s kind of funny thinking about a decorating style and what our future home may look like one day with all of these choices running around my head….;) But I just have to remember that the beauty in our home does not lie just in the decor, but of the people within our home.

The reason that I started The Grace Gathered Home wasn’t because of a specific decorating style, but the general idea that having a cozy & welcoming home is important. I want to keep encouraging this, as well as having you guys along for my decorating journey!

Here are some of the most gorgeous pictures that have really been inspiring me lately!

Living room with beautiful white brick mantle. Tons of woods and whites.

This picture is by Michelle Janeen and I am totally in love with how she styled her living  area. I adore all of the whites & naturals of the space and love the soft greenery.

Gorgeous cottage-style bedroom with striped bedding. Grain-sack pillows and a vintage mantle as a headboard with antique decor.

I have also been adoring this cottage-style bedroom by Tidbits. I just love how warm and inviting all of the natural colors are & everything really flows together. There is also a little old + new, which I love.

Gorgeous cottage, modern farmhouse entryway with a vintage chair. Whites, woods, and neutral are covering the space.

This cottage-style/ farmhouse entryway is giving me all of the heart eyes! I love the whites & naturals with all of the texture. This photo was shared from Lavin Label.

After gathering all of these picture, I really am starting to see a bit of a theme here! Neutrals, whites, woods, soft textures, coziness……what decorating style would you guys call this!? Leave a comment below & help a sista out!
