Friday Faves

Happy FRIDAY, sweetest friends!

I hope your week has been fabulous and that you are all so ready to have fun this weekend! Or rest & relax 🙂 whatever is on your agenda! Nathan and I have been a little busy this week traveling to Okoboji, IA for a work trip! A lot of you probably don’t know that I actually get to travel with him occasionally & it really is the best! We get to stay in the cutest little towns in usually the cutest airbnbs, hotels, or bed and breakfasts!

Something I loved about this last trip was that this lake was where Nathan grew up living the lake life! It was fun to explore & hear how excited he was to relive those memories 🙂 you may wonder how I keep working on the road….well, I found the BEST gadget & it has literally changed my life. The night before we left for Iowa I found this Duracell Car Powerstrip! Basically, it uses the charging piece to plug into your car and then I was able to plug my laptop charger into it – BEST THING EVER! I was able to work for a solid 6 hours while we were driving, total game changer.

We got back to Omaha a couple of days ago and now we are getting ready for a big snowstorm in Omaha! I plan on cozying up on our new floor cushions & drinking plentyyyy of nespresso. I wanted to do something kind of fun today – share with you what I’m currently inspired by, loving, watching sales for, and buying 😉 lol! Here we go!

Hair scarves, y’all. I am OBSESSED with these things. These are just a few that have really caught my eye at Free People – they have some adorable ones! Especially with Spring right around the corner, I think hair scarves are really such a cute touch to any outfit!

Cooking is one of my favorite things – especially being mindful about what I’m cooking for my little family! That’s why I’ve been obsessed with the True Roots cookbook! I had been eyeing it for quite some time & finally grabbed it a couple of weeks ago on Amazon. The cookbook is by Kristin Cavallari & she wrote it from the standpoint of having a mindful kitchen with almost all of the recipes being gluten, dairy, sugar free!! Some of my fave recipes have been the Apple Cidar Fight (amazing immune system booster!!) & the BBQ chicken salad w/ homemade pineapple dressing (tastes like ranch!). OH and our Nespresso has also been amazing too….not really sure how I ever lived without one! Lol!

I talked about this next one in my last blog post, by guys THESE FLOOR CUSHIONS. Cannot believe it took me so long to buy these!! They are amazing, convenient, comfy, and just plain cool! I added this rug + the floor cushions & they have been the perfect little addition to our apartment. Definitely loving these!!!

She Reads Truth is an app that I found a few years ago and I still love it & use it almost daily! It has a great devo every morning, reading plans, and the cutest, most encouraging lock screens (like the one below). I love love love the app because it’s the perfect way to easily get into the Word every day! If you’re looking for an easy way to find a devotional or Bible study definitely check here 🙂 They also have He Reads Truth & Kids Read Truth!

I hope you all liked my Friday Faves and have the best weekend! If you’re a Nebraska or Omaha local, stay safe and keep warm with the snow storm on it’s way! Talk soon, y’all!
