Family Pictures + Life Updates

You guys! It has been FOREVER since I have done anything like a coffee talk or life update, so I thought this would be the perfect time before the holidays are here & 2020 begins!

I just honestly cannot believe how quickly 2019 has flown by…in a little over a month it will be a new year! A new decade, actually!! Nathan and I have been SO busy with our new house, family & friends, and jobs – I have some fun & exciting updates to talk about today! AND I’m going to be sharing some fall family pictures throughout the post 🙂

NEW HOME

Back in July we purchased OUR FIRST HOME in Omaha, NE and it has been the biggest blessing! We have definitely learned so much about being homeowners (the good + the bad) and have truly loved getting to have a house to turn in to a home of our own. You can read all about our house buying story HERE.

So far, have had countless weekends spent with family & friends, small house projects, lots of movie nights, neighborhood grill outs, husker parties, and TONS of memories made. Some of the projects or small changes we have made are:

-Painted the entire upper level

-Added vinyl flooring to my office

-Changed a couple of light fixtures

-New house number sign

Coming next –> Finish office floor / new kitchen hardware / paint the guest bedroom / paint BOTH bathrooms / update all faucets & light fixtures / paint the entryway doors

TRAVELS

Ohhhhh the travels…it seems like we are always on the go! Nathan travels for his job, so every now & then I will tag along! We do a quite a few trips to South Dakota & Iowa, since that’s where his territory is. We try to make a really fun time out of it every time 🙂 But other than that we have traveled to:

Breckenridge, Colorado: We hiked, explored downtown Breckenridge, and relaxed! This is one of my absolute favorite places on Earth to visit – the most relaxed little mountain town!

Estes Park, CO: We went hiking and camped for a night!

Salt Lake City, UT: I went to Utah just recently to visit one some of our friends & it was so much fun! I had never been to UT before so it was fun seeing a new state & catching up with friends!

Next up….NAPLES, FLORIDA!!!: Nathan & I booked a super spontaneous trip to Naples & Marco Island, FL in a couple of weeks and we could not be more excited for the trip! The flights were literally $70/each, so we just couldn’t pass them up! It will be nice to go and relax for a few days in the warmth and get away from the Nebraska cold!

BLOG & VA BIZ

Oh man, oh man…sooooo much happening with my blog and blogger assistant business – I just can’t even believe how much it’s grown & changed! Earlier this year I felt that I needed to sit down and REALLY think about the mission, goals, and future plans I have for my blog/business. And I am so happy to say that NEW & EXCITING changes are coming! It’s definitely a little scary because I am taking a risk, but I am so excited to have you all along the journey with me! You can keep updated with everything happening over on my Instagram!

HOLIDAY PLANS

I really just can’t even believe that the holidays are here and Christmas is LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY! I think today is going to be a Christmas shopping day for me! Lol

Our holiday plans are pretty simple – we just go to each of our family’s homes over Christmas! Usually we go to my parents on Christmas Eve to celebrate Christmas and head to Nathan’s parents that night for Christmas Day! One thing I LOVE about the holidays are the traditions – a couple of my favorite traditions are Christmas Eve church service, soup on Christmas Eve, and opening up 1 gift on Christmas Eve!

What are your plans for the holidays?! I’d love to hear all about your family traditions and what you have been up to!
