DIY Christmas Hoop Ornament

Good morning, sweetest friends!

I am SO excited to share that I am on this gorgeous blog hop with 19 other amazing home decor bloggers! Today we are all sharing something so fun with you guys – DIY Christmas ornaments!

Growing up I always remember making DIY ornaments at school and at home during the Christmas season, so it was so fun to think about & create an ornament of my own! I wanted to go with something simple, quick, & budget friendly, so I decided to create a DIY Christmas Hoop Ornament! 🙂 below I have created a tutorial just for you guys to follow to recreate this DIY hoop ornament!

1) Gather the supplies you will need. All you really need is a mini sewing hoop, your choice of fabric, scissors, jute rope, and a glue gun (optional).

2) Take the center hoop out & measure out a square of fabric around the hoop. Cut out just enough that you’ll be able to cut or remove the edge of it around the hoop!

3) Place the outer hoop on a surface, then the fabric on top of the hoop, and lastly, the inner hoop over the outer hoop & fabric. Press the inner hoop back into the outer hoop and tighten the screw at the top of the sewing hoop.

4) Trim the edges of the fabric around the hoop. This is the part that you can use the glue gun for – if you’d like, you can cut out an additional piece of fabric to cover the back of the ornament. I left it without any fabric on the back because the lights on the Christmas tree shine through and I love it. 🙂 but it’s totally up to you!

5) Cut out some jute rope & string up your easy, beautiful, new ornament!!

love how pretty the ornament turned out & it was soooo easy to make. Not to mention, budget friendly!! This would be the perfect DIY project to do with your husband for a date night or kiddos for a craft! And it’s something you’ll get to keep forever ❤️

Below I’ve linked all of the supplies you need to create this DIY ornament of your own!! And make sure to take a look at the other DIY ornaments from the 19 other wonderful bloggers on this holiday blog hop! Thank you so much for stopping by & I hope you have a fabulous time creating your own DIY Christmas Hoop Ornament!
