I am so glad you’re here today because….it’s the first day of my new series – ‘Cozy & Dreamy Home Tours’!!! I recently came up with this idea because even though I love decorating our home and sharing it with you, sometimes it’s nice to get to see other homes for new inspiration! Each of these home tours that I will be doing for you are homes that I have hand-picked to be apart of this Cozy & Dreamy Home Tour! Every home in the tour has a very similar feel to our home & I just know you are all going to love them!
Today I’m showing you guys one of my home crushes for about the last 6 months – Ashley from Joyfully Growing Blog! Ashley’s home is filled with cozy feels and neutral tones. Her blog is all about sharing DIY projects and easy home decor tips that anyone can pull off! And let me tell you – Ashley & her husband, Mike, make these projects so easy that literally anyone can feel confident taking them on!
First space up: THE KITCHEN
I absolutely love how this space is filled with DIY projects & their own creative touches! Ashley and her husband completely renovated this space and I think it turned out beautifully! You can see the full blog post on the project here – the entire project was done for under $10K!!! That’s unheard of! She has a full blog post on planning a budget kitchen here!
One of my favorite parts about this kitchen reno is the countertop they chose! I just think that it brightens up the space!
I am also totally in love with that farmhouse sink!! They it from Sinkology and for a good price, too! Having a fresh flower bouquet in your kitchen never hurt anyone either. 😉 She’s also a fellow Meyers’ Soap lover!
Their Dining Space…..gives me all of the feels! The light fixture, open shelves, and THAT TABLE! Every piece in this space goes together perfectly! And also – who doesn’t love Taco Tuesday? 😉
If you’re interested in taking on another DIY project…you can actually make those open shelves yourself! Crazy, I know!! Ashley has the full tutorial on her blog and even tells you how to install them! Loving everything about this – she just decorates everything so well! It’s all so cohesive and just fits together.
The Living Space is what I always get so excited to see in others’ homes and it’s absolutely one of my favorite rooms in her home! How gorgeous is this couch and the sweet touch of that cow-hide pillow? Ashley puts together pieces in her home that I would never even think to put together & it always turns out so cozy for her!
I am also really loving the cozy feel coming from their fireplace and that fiddle leaf fig tree, which is actually a DIY! Those trees can get SO pricey, but Ashley’s Fiddle Leaf Fig Tutorial helps you create a tree for under $20!!! Sign me up for the project!
PS. Did you SEE the chunky knit blanket?!?! Blanket goals!
Their bedroom is definitely one of my most favorites! There are so many unique touches to this space and I would say the biggest one is the stained wood plank accent wall (also a DIY – Ashley & her husband are amazing!). I love the serene feel of the color scheme they chose for this room & I cannot get over those pillows! I love their patterns & they completely stand out to me!
Can we please take a minute to admire that adorable hat wall they have going on in their bedroom? I just love the sweet little touch of those walls + the plant in the corner – since recently becoming a plant mom (to a fiddle leaf fig ;)) I am a sucker for plants! Lol!
Next space is the Bathroom that Ashley & Mike renovated for just over $200!! Like seriously – that’s amazing! She has a full blog post dedicated to this farmhouse bathroom makeover! She also talks a little about that adorable light fixture they updated! I think my favorite thing about this space is the paintable headboard wallpaper that they chose for 2/3 of the wall! Yes, that’s wallpaper – can you believe that?! allllll the heart eyes for this small & bright space!
The last space I get to show you guys today is the gorgeous Guest Bedroom/Office. Hmmm I think I might just move in ;)!! But seriously, how cozy is this room!? From the shiplap wall to the bed linens & throw pillows this is the perfect space for any guest. I’m also really loving that farmhouse bed frame, too!
I always think that it’s so important to make your guests feel at home – that’s why creating a dreamy & cozy space for them is always a great idea. Ashley has a full blog post up on creating this kind of space for your guest & you can read it here!
I feel like it’s always a good & convenient idea to have a small office in your guest bedroom, especially if you only have a two bedroom home! Nathan & I both have our offices in our guest bedroom and it usually works out pretty well!
I am loving this quaint and simple office space Ashley has going on in their guest bedroom! It’s always so nice to have this space as a guest too, especially if you have any kind of work to do during your stay!
Overall, I just cannot get over how gorgeous Ashley’s entire home is! Her level of dreaminess & coziness far surpasses my own and I absolutely cannot wait to see how they renovate their newest home – the RV! Yes – Ashley & Mike are currently renovating an RV to move into in the coming months and I will be doing another Home Tour on their RV! I am SO excited to see how they make their newest space cozy, dreamy, and filled with JOY!
