HAPPY WEEKEND EVE! I thought a little coffee chat & sale roundup would be fun today! Ahh, almost the weekend & we’ve got relaxing on our minds! This weekend we’ll just be hanging out at home and hopefully spending time outside! The last few weeks felt like they flew by – Nathan traveled a few nights, Ella has been on the move like crazy, & I recovered from my girls weekend (stayed up WAY too late with my girls! so needed!). We ended up getting a couples trip planned for this summer, which we are all SO excited about!
It was pretty cold the last few weeks (other than this week!), so we had to do quite a few activities inside & I had to get creative with Ella’s play time for awhile! Let’s just say…I’m so excited for warm weather & getting to watch Ella experience the outdoors! I’ve been focusing on lots of DIY sensory activities just with things we already have at home. We’ve done sensory bags filled with beads & other objects, laundry basket with wooden blocks, and a shoebox + rubber bands! I looove following @babyplayhacks on Instagram for activity ideas. Ella has also been obsessed with this busy board toy!!
This week I’ve been focusing on some smaller home projects, the mound of laundry I’ve been avoiding lol, & planning for things like Easter! Our home is thankfully renovated, but there are still so many smaller projects I would LOVE to do. I think we’re mostly going to be focusing on our backyard the next few months, which I’m so excited about.
I found this gas fire pit that I think would be perfect & there is also this shorter one that would be great, too! We’re also kind of looking at putting in a privacy fence, but we’ll see! So far looking at……outdoor furniture, gas fire pit, outdoor rug, lights, and maybe a DIY herb garden!
This is kind of the vision we’re going for, but we’ll see!
It’s already March, which is just crazy to me….but so exciting because that means warm weather! This week has been soooo warm, BUT extremely dry. Praying for some moisture sometime soon, even though the warmth is nice! Nathan & I have been talking about all the things – plans for our backyard and garden, summer trips we’re taking, and lately talking a lot about bread-making! I’ve used this no-knead bread recipe for a few years now and now I’m super interested in Sourdough bread making – follow me over on Instagram to keep up with our adventures!
