Mondays – Mondays are for coffee. Every Monday morning (well, every morning actually) you can find me brainstorming for the week with a fresh cup of coffee in hand. There is just something about starting off your week with coffee & creativity that is just so good for the soul! We just got back from our tiny-home trip (which I will be posting about on Thursday!) and it was an absolutely DREAM, guys. Like, a complete dream! (see it on Instagram here!!) Have any of you ever stayed in a tiny home? Now Nathan (my husband) & I are actually considering buying one in the next couple of years (stay tuned on that!). But enough day-dreaming for now, today’s post is all about Celebrate Love: Valentine’s Day Buffet Decor! I have teamed up with Wayfair again to bring you this post!

It is almost Valentine’s Day!!! The day of LOVEEE! Right now we have all kinds of little pink and red accents in our 800 sq. feet of love 😉 and I am so excited to share with you my favorite area! Well, favorite wall I guess you could say? Lol. We only have so much space to work with haha! There are so many things that you can do to create a cozy Valentine’s Day themed home without breaking the bank on new decor. I chose to decorate our buffet with faux flowers, some simple vases, and a DIY scripted scroll – I think it turned out beautifully! And, for only $25!!!
The buffet that we have is one that we got at Target after we got married and it works well for our space, but I would reallllly love to paint it. Maybe a light gray, what do you think? I just used vases that I had around the house and bought one more from Michael’s for $4.00. I just kind of placed these around a floral vine and some vintage candle sticks. I think I spent about $10.00 on flowers for this!
I really tried to just go for a simple look with this buffet and just add touches of pink, but mostly keep neutrals! That’s where the DIY backdrop really came in! This was a fun, easy project that probably took me a total of 10 minutes to complete. It doesn’t look amazing, but it does add what I needed to the space! For the DIY Scroll I spent maybe $7 on supplies – a scroll of kraft paper, a sharpie, hot glue, and burlap string (hmm, might do a DIY post on this in the near future!)!
Shop Vases from Target:
I really love this space because I just feel like it has the Valentine’s Day feel I was kind of going for! Honestly, this is the FIRST Valentine’s Day that I have ever decorated for & it was quite fun! A short period to decorate, but I think it was worth it; especially, if you are going to have any type of Valentine’s Day celebrations going on!
And if any of you know me….I have to add a picture of coffee in here! This simple & sweet Rae Dunn inspired mug is from the cutest little Etsy Shop called Northern Newlyweds – they have so many cute mugs! Also, go take a peek at my Instagram and Facebook to keep up with what I’m doing! We just got back from our tiny-home adventure, but we have another fun weekend getaway very soon!
So…what does love mean to you? To me, love means caring. It means putting others before yourself. Love means being intentional and present. It means praying, instead of worrying. Love means living to serve, not to be served. God is love and when we truly know this, we will know love.
“Above all things, love….” 1st Peter 4:8
Have the best Valentine’s Day with the ones you love!
