Happy Friday, friends!
Sorry I have been a little slower on blog posts today, but this week has been kind of all over the place for me!! I have had quite a bit of work for my social media clients + working on my own blog (especially putting together gift guides like this one) + just the Christmas craziness, but it has been very fun 🙂 speaking of Christmas, it’s right around the corner! I literally feel like yesterday I was just planning my Fall Patio Makeover….like what?!
In Nebraska it has been snowing quite a bit, which has been fun, but makes it hard to get our of our little apartment! I absolutely love this little haven of ours, but sometimes we can feel a bit cooped up from the snow – especially since both Nathan & I work from home! Lately we’ve been baking and cooking a TON (y’all we realized that we haven’t eaten out in 2 full weeks – like WHAT), deep cleaning, and watching any movie we can find (especially Crazy Rich Asians – guys, I love this movie!). Oh and Christmas shopping like crazy people + of course, Christmas decorating.
Which brings me to sharing one of our cozy Christmas spaces in our home with you today – our Anthropologie Inspired Christmas Bedroom! Lately, I have been obsessed with ALL things Anthropologie. They are definitely pricey on some things, but if you’re smart about how you shop there, you can find some amazing deals! I shopped their Black Friday Event & got the coziest joggers + this Capri Blue Candle for a great discount.
Their home decor is also SO beautiful & is often on sale! It’s even better if you can hit their home decor sale items that are usually an extra 30% off on top of that.
All of the inspiration for our simple Christmas bedroom came from Anthropologie & I am LOVING it! Let’s start with the Christmas elements – the garland, brush bottle trees (more here), holiday berry flannel sheets, and the DIY eucalyptus wreaths (but you can actually purchase similar ones here and here).
I wanted to add very simple Christmas decor that I could potentially use throughout the year in other areas of our home and these wreaths are actually in our living room as well! They are just a very simple touch and if you’d like the DIY materials – just grab a sewing hoop, dried eucalyptus stems, and floral wire.
The eucalyptus garland goes along perfectly with the wreaths & is different from the normal Christmas garland, which I love!
It may be silly, but one thing that I really wanted was this year was holiday sheets lol we found these holiday flannel sheets at Target & we LOVE them. They are sooo soft and perfect for winter! How cute are these ski lodge sheets?! They would be perfect too, especially for a guest room.
Our bedding is also something that makes our bedroom feel ‘Christmas-ey’ to me! We have had this coverlet for a few months now and we loooove it. It’s basically in between a comforter and a quilt and it is the best thing. Also, I’m in love with the pom pom details – it’s super similar to this tufted quilt from Anthro.
Throw pillows are something that I’m not sure I could live without…lol. I think the most I’ve ever had on our bed is 7 throw pillows at one time, but I thought 3 would be good enough this go around! ha! I decided to add this round velvet pillow, knit pillow cover, and the long pillow (similar ones here). They are all different, but go together so well! My next throw pillow purchase will be this goooorgeous pommed jute pillow – alllll the heart eyes.
Lately I have just totally been loving different kinds of patterns, textures, and pieces to add to our home. Hence the reason I’m loving Anthro lately — they have allll the textures!

We have this sweet little bedside table, which is actually more of just a little shelf, but it works for what we need! I decided to add a few little bottle brush trees around for just a little more decor! But as you can see, I went very simple with Christmas decor in this space!
I just love decorating for Christmas. It reminds me of my childhood and waking up Christmas morning. It reminds me of the big home-cooked meal we are all so excited for. The rainbow colored outdoor lights. The hand-sewn stocking my mom made me when I was a baby. The Christmas Eve service at my hometown church. And most importantly, the birth of our Savior! I hope you go into this Christmas season feeling inspired, thankful, and filled to the brim with the joy & love of Christ.
